Mirka Pad Protectors or Pad Savers safeguard the base plate of an Orbital Sander from wear and tear when sanding aggressively and continuously.
Mirka Pad Protectors also protect the sander backing pad when removing worn out discs as it is the Pad Protector 'hook and loop' that wears out, not the backing pad!
This product also acts as an 'adaptor' when using the Mirka Abranet abrasives on other makes of orbital sanders.
These cost effective pad saver discs, positioned between the backing pad and the sanding disc, should be changed regularly and will prolong the life of the backing pad.
